This is an opportunity for volunteers to help load and unload passengers on our monthly hayrides. here are the dates for our upcoming hayrides:The first Hayride leaves around 10:00 AM from in front of the Visitors Center, so volunteers should plan to arrive around 9:45 AM. The last Hayride leaves at 12:30PM so volunteers should plan to leave around 1:00 PM. We need 4 volunteers per event.

This volunteer position would involve working with the current editor of the newsletter to become familiar with the process of putting together the Friends of Kinder Farm Park quarterly newsletter titled Down on the Farm. It would involve using email to solicit articles from the groups associated with the park, editing the articles to fit the format of the newsletter, having authors review edited articles via email, and periodically writing articles from information that has been shared or gleaned from a discussion or other sources.Recommended Skills:

This volunteer position would involve working with the current administrator of the annual Friends of Kinder Farm Park Photo Competition, entitled Life in the Park. You would work with the current administrator to learn the process for promoting the competition, receiving and logging entries, preparing entries for judging, selecting judges, tracking results, notifying winners and distributing prizes.Recommended Skills:

Kinder Farm Park offers the unique opportunity to work in an early to mid-twenty century sawmill, blacksmith shop, and woodshop. The woodshop does projects to benefit the Friends of Kinder Farm Park and the Kinder 4 H Livestock Club. Past projects include construction of animal shelters, park benches, bird habitats and display cabinets.Wood working skills are desired but not required. We work as a team and welcome the opportunity to train interested volunteers. The woodshop is open Wednesday mornings from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM and beginning in January, the first and third Sunday afternoon from 1:00 to 4:00 PM.
